Microsoft has launched the first autonomous agents for Copilot Studio and Dynamics 365. These agents use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to autonomously execute business processes, such as generating and processing sales or automating supply chains, allowing professionals and teams to focus on more strategic tasks.
With the introduction of these new autonomous agents, Microsoft aims to empower businesses to evolve. These agents are based on the context of work data in the Microsoft 365 Graph, systems of record, Dataverse, and Fabric. They can support various functions, from the IT help desk to onboarding new employees, and acting as a personal assistant for sales and services.
Additionally, Microsoft announced the introduction of ten new autonomous agents in Dynamics 365, aiming to increase the capacity of sales, support services, financial, and supply chain teams within organizations. Among this group, the following agents stand out:
- Sales qualification agent: Allows salespeople to focus on the most priority sales opportunities, while the agent researches leads, helps prioritize opportunities, and guides customer contact through personalized emails and responses.
- Supplier communication agent: Optimizes the supply chain and minimizes costly disruptions by autonomously monitoring supplier performance, detecting delays, and responding accordingly, freeing purchasing teams from manual monitoring and problem-solving.
- Customer intent and knowledge management agents: Transformative for customer service teams, these agents help resolve customer issues and autonomously add knowledge-based articles to expand best practices across the customer service team.
These agents are designed to increase operational efficiency and improve customer experience, adapting to the specific needs of each business area. They can initiate tasks on their own and respond to indicators or other signals in real-time, reducing the need for constant human supervision, and also can make informed decisions based on data, improving the accuracy and efficiency of business processes.
The new autonomous agents for Microsoft Studio and Dynamics 365 thus promise to offer the competitive advantage companies need to secure the future of their organizations.
